Jinan, Nov. 11, 11, early morning, with the new expansion of 1000 kV transformer impact transmission success, Shandong Province's first UHV substation - quanzheng 1000 kV substation expansion project smoothly transmission operation.

It is reported that the 1000 kV Substation in quanzheng is the hub substation of super grid in our province, and also an important clean energy channel of the national air pollution prevention and control plan. As the receiving substation of Ximeng Shandong UHV AC project, the station has been put into operation in 2016 to october31,2019, and has accumulated 38.766 billion kwh of clean energy from Shandong Province. During the peak of power load in winter and summer, the clean energy delivered by the station effectively made up the gap of Shandong power load, greatly alleviating the power shortage.

The expansion project of quanzheng station includes 2 1000 kV transformers and 6 110 kV Capacitor bays, with a rated capacity of 3million kW for a single transformer. After operation, the station will increase the external power transmission capacity of 6million kW, which is one of the most high voltage substations in the world. As an important project to ensure the smooth power transmission operation of the expansion project, the UHV Transformer system needs to undergo 6 commissioning tests, including 1000 kV side switching and 500 kV side switching, and the operation lasts for 5 days, and the accumulated lean operation is more than 1000 times.

At the same time, the expansion project is an important part of Shandong Hebei UHV AC ring network, which can comprehensively optimize the grid structure, greatly improve the ability of Shandong UHV power grid to cope with complex environment, ensure the safe and stable operation of the grid, and provide a stronger clean energy guarantee for the coming peak winter
